Booking & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This Booking & Cancellation Policy applies to Creative Experiences provided by SK Artwork, including Sip & Paint events, Kids Art Parties, private events, corporate events, workshops and other creative sessions.
By purchasing a ticket, making a booking or paying a deposit, you agree to the terms below.
Public Events & Workshops
Bookings for public events, workshops and Sip & Paint sessions are confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
Places may be limited and are subject to availability.
Please check the event date, time and location carefully before completing your booking.
Cancelling Your Ticket
If you can no longer attend:
- 7 days or more before the event: please contact us as soon as possible. We may offer a refund, credit or transfer to another available event.
- Less than 7 days before the event: refunds are generally not available for change of mind, however we may offer a transfer or credit at our discretion where reasonable.
- Less than 48 hours before the event or failure to attend: refunds, credits or transfers are generally not available.
You are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person if you can no longer attend. Please let us know the name of the person attending in your place.
Any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by these change-of-mind conditions.
Private Events, Parties & Corporate Bookings
- Private events may include:
- Kids Art Parties
- Private Sip & Paint sessions
- Birthday celebrations
- Hens events
- Corporate events
- Team-building experiences
- Community or group workshops
- Other private creative experiences
Private event bookings may require a booking deposit to secure your preferred date.
The amount of any deposit, final balance and payment due dates will be provided in your individual quote or booking confirmation.
Your booking is not considered confirmed until any required deposit has been received.
Deposits
Where a deposit is required, it reserves the agreed date and allows us to begin planning and preparing for your event.
Deposits are generally non-refundable for change of mind once the booking has been confirmed, as SK Artwork may have:
- Reserved the date specifically for you
- Turned away other bookings
- Purchased or prepared materials
- Begun planning your event
Any specific deposit conditions provided in your quote or booking confirmation will apply to your booking.
Cancelling a Private Event
If you need to cancel a private event, please contact us as early as possible.
More than 14 days before your event
Where possible, we may allow you to:
- Reschedule your event to another available date, or
- Receive a credit for amounts paid above any non-refundable deposit
Any new date is subject to availability.
Between 7 and 14 days before your event
Payments already made may be non-refundable due to preparation, materials and the date having been reserved.
We will do our best to work with you regarding rescheduling where reasonably possible.
Less than 7 days before your event
Payments already made are generally non-refundable for change of mind.
At this stage, materials may have been purchased or prepared and the event date has been held specifically for your booking.
Rescheduling Private Events
We understand that plans sometimes change.
Where sufficient notice is provided, SK Artwork may allow a private event to be moved to another available date.
Rescheduling is subject to:
- Availability
- Venue availability where applicable
- Any additional costs
- Materials already purchased or prepared
- The type and size of the event
A booking may generally only be rescheduled once unless otherwise agreed.
Significant changes to the event may require a revised quote.
Final Numbers
For private events, we may request confirmation of final participant numbers before the event.
Once final numbers have been confirmed and materials have been purchased or prepared, reductions in participant numbers may not result in a refund.
Additional participants may be added where space, materials and availability allow.
Additional charges may apply.
Minimum Numbers
Some Creative Experiences may require a minimum number of participants to proceed.
Where minimum numbers apply, this will be discussed or displayed as part of the booking information.
If SK Artwork needs to cancel a session because required minimum numbers have not been reached, affected customers will be contacted and offered an appropriate option, such as:
- A transfer to another session
- Rescheduling
- A credit
- A refund
No-Shows
If you do not attend a booked event and have not contacted us beforehand, the booking will be treated as a no-show.
No-show bookings are generally not eligible for a refund, credit or transfer.
Late Arrivals
Please aim to arrive at the time provided in your booking information.
Creative sessions may need to begin on time for the benefit of all participants.
If you arrive late, we will do our best to help you join the session, however we cannot guarantee that missed activities or instruction can be repeated.
Late arrival does not generally entitle you to a refund or partial refund.
Kids Art Parties
Bookings for children’s events must be made by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.
The person making the booking is responsible for providing accurate information about:
- Participant numbers
- Ages where relevant
- Any important accessibility requirements
- Any other information reasonably required to deliver the event
Parents, guardians and organisers remain responsible for appropriate supervision unless another arrangement has been specifically agreed with SK Artwork.
Materials
Materials supplied for Creative Experiences may vary depending on the activity.
Where necessary, we may substitute a particular colour, brand or material with a suitable alternative of similar quality.
Participants should follow any instructions provided regarding the safe and appropriate use of art materials and equipment.
Alcohol at Events
Where alcohol is permitted at a Sip & Paint or private event, participants are responsible for complying with the rules of the venue and applicable laws.
Alcohol may only be consumed by persons who are legally permitted to do so.
SK Artwork does not encourage irresponsible alcohol consumption.
Venues
Some Creative Experiences may be held at third-party venues.
Customers and participants must comply with any reasonable venue conditions, including rules relating to:
- Alcohol
- Food
- Smoking
- Behaviour
- Access
- Safety
- Opening and closing times
SK Artwork is not responsible for matters controlled solely by an independent venue, except where otherwise required by law.
Behaviour
Creative Experiences are designed to be fun, welcoming and enjoyable.
We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave if their behaviour is unsafe, abusive, threatening, seriously disruptive or places other participants or staff at risk.
A refund will generally not be provided where a participant is required to leave because of their own inappropriate conduct.
Cancellation by SK Artwork
Occasionally, an event may need to be cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances such as:
- Illness
- Severe weather
- Venue issues
- Insufficient participant numbers
- Safety concerns
- Emergencies
- Other circumstances outside our reasonable control
If SK Artwork cancels an event and cannot provide the booked service, we will contact affected customers as soon as reasonably possible.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be offered:
- A rescheduled date
- Transfer to another event
- Credit
- A refund
We will not require you to accept a replacement date where doing so would be inconsistent with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Weather & Unexpected Circumstances
For outdoor events or events affected by weather, we may need to postpone, relocate or reschedule the session if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
Where an event can reasonably proceed safely, a decision by a customer not to attend because of weather may be treated as a change-of-mind cancellation.
If SK Artwork determines that the event cannot safely proceed, we will contact customers regarding the available options.
Refund Processing
Where a refund has been approved, it will generally be returned to the original payment method.
Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed after approval.
Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the funds.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our cancellation rules primarily apply where you choose to cancel or change your booking.
Different rights may apply if SK Artwork cancels a service, does not provide a service as agreed, or where a service fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
