About The Artist

For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Sam — AKA, SK.

My loved ones have always called me Samantha Kate, but one dear friend has always called me SK. Little did I know that nickname would one day become the signature behind my creative journey.

Creativity has always been part of who I am. After 18 years of hairdressing, I decided to lean further into my artistic side, and somewhere along the way I found myself on a completely new path. What began as something exciting to explore quickly became something I truly loved. I started selling my artwork, and from there, a little dream began to grow to build something of my own while sharing my love of art and creativity with others.

WHAT INFLUENCES MY WORK

FEMININITY

Four framed wall art prints depicting stylized female torso figures in white and black lingerie, arranged in a 2x2 grid on a beige wall with warm sunlight and window shadows.

NATURE & LIFE

STRENGTH

Art has become such an important part of my own journey. It’s my escape, my grounding and a constant reminder to trust the process. I love that one piece can hold a certain meaning for me, yet tell a completely different story to someone else. Art gives me the freedom to simply be myself, and that’s something I hope to share with others too the chance to slow down, relax, create and just be you.

I’ve always loved to colour outside the lines and create pieces that make people stop, look and feel something. Much of my work begins with a story, a photograph or simply an emotion. I’m especially drawn to the beauty of the human body — its strength, vulnerability and wisdom. Everyone has a story, and I love that art has a way of expressing what words sometimes cannot.

And while I’m incredibly proud of how far this little dream has come, nothing quite compares to hearing my two biggest fans, Savannah and Arlo, proudly tell people:

“My mum is an artist.”
